A new drug to reduce fats in the blood

Triglyceride levels (invisible fats in the blood) that are too high: a discreet but frequent problem, which increases the risk of heart attack, stroke or pancreatitis. EPFL researchers and their partners have tested in humans, for the first time, a new oral drug capable of significantly lowering triglycerides, by specifically targeting the liver and intestine.
