Lausanne Cathedral: Canons and bishops, for better or for worse

Légende

Lausanne Cathedral hasn't always been peaceful. In 1440, it became the scene of the proclamation of the antipope Felix V, Duke of Savoy. But more often than not, it was the bishops and canons who clashed, between quarrels and major works such as those of Aymon de Montfalcon. Through these struggles, the cathedral remains at the heart of the city's life, punctuated by its festivals, processions and its watch, still present every night.
