Focal epilepsy: symptoms that sometimes resemble madness

Marie-Laurence has been living for years with strange and terrifying symptoms: visual and tactile hallucinations, a feeling of being possessed, dissociations. For more than a decade, she has had one consultation after another. She was diagnosed with stress, anxiety, then psychotic features. But she refused these diagnoses and persisted in her search. Finally, she obtains a diagnosis: partial epilepsy, or focal epilepsy.
