Congo, a history of war and mines: from Mobutu to genocide

In 1965, General Mobutu took power in the Congo. He would remain in power for over thirty years. Colette Braeckman spent most of her career as a reporter for the Belgian daily "Le Soir". A Congo specialist, she has published several works on Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She met Mobutu on several occasions.
