Avian flu: are we already a little protected?

A study from the University of Geneva shows that certain antibodies directed against seasonal flu also recognize the H5N1 avian flu virus. This basic protection varies according to age and vaccination history - particularly in people vaccinated during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. These results open up avenues for better preparation for a possible pandemic.
